The negative stigma surrounding artists has become lesser and lesser as the years progress, but why does it still exist in the first place? Our society is forever changing, and with that, so is the way we view things. The world is realizing that there needs to be a lot more appreciation in the modern way of earning money.
Using talent in life is not a foreign concept, but why is it frowned upon when an artist drops their 9 to 5 to focus and profit off their work? Every human being in the world enjoys art in some form, we spend hours a day viewing posts on social media, listening to music, and creating art of our own. The uncertainty that comes with being an artist makes it that much more admirable.
During the renaissance period, when art was first beginning to flourish, it really took the world by storm – as quickly as they could get the message across back then. This was a time in which raw art was the best form of communication and escape. They didn’t have modern day television, and they certainly didn’t have a handheld device that they could bring everywhere with them. The only thing they could rely on for art was other human beings.
So, this yields the question: is technology helping artists out, or is it destroying them? The answer to this question is unclear but as technology progresses, so does the demand for digital art. As mentioned in the previous blog post, this is becoming more and more common as the days go on. But there still must be room for other mediums in the industry.
Our goal with this new website is to bring light to those artists who feel they are at a standstill with their progression. There is always a niche for someone to fit into, whether they know it or not, and showcases various artists work to other artists is the perfect way to discover your niche.
The team at Spray Gunner is extremely dedicated to supporting both large and small artists. We don’t want them to feel this stigma anymore, and if there’s one thing we do best, besides distributing airbrush products, it’s promoting art.
Thanks to the growing success of Air & Brush, we have access to a broad number of promotional tools for these artists to use. This website being the biggest one. We hope that the artists that come here find this to be a safe-haven and unlearn the negative stigma that has otherwise been stuck in their head for their whole life.
